Stewart McSweyn is an athlete on the rise, he is a Melbourne Track Club Athlete under the tutelage of Nic Bideau. Stewart is a dual Australian 10,000m Track Champion having won back to back Zatopek classics. He recently became the second fastest Australian ever across the 5000m distance clocking a remarkable 13:05:23 in a race which actually saw the four fastest 5000m runa in history. Just prior to this recording with Stewart McSweyn, Stewy Mac as he is affectionately known set the Australian indoor 1500m record with a blistering 3:35:10 at the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix meet where he finished third in the Stellar Field. Stewy boasts PB’s of 28:03 on the road for 10k’s and 27:50 for 10,000m on the track. Stewy was an Australian Representative at the World Cross Country Championships and also in 2018 at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast where Stewy finished 5th in the 5000m and 11th in the 10000m.
