Troy Herfoss is a Multiple Australian Super Bike Champion and is also an Australian Dirt Track, Super Moto and Super Sport Champion. He is also a Moto XGames Silver Medalist. Not only is Troy superfast on two mechanical wheels but he is also a very talented Road Cyclist and on today's episode Troy recounts the story of leading into the ultimate stages of the Australian Road Cycling Championships as an unsponsored Solo Rider, it's a terrific story.

On this episode you will hear Jonathan Cantwell share around the highs, the lows and the learnings of life from within Professional Cycling. Jonny takes us through the Genesis story that saw him take to two wheels. Turning pro in 2008 and then his Tour de France Grand Tour debut with Team Saxo Bank in the 2012-13 Season.

Jonny takes us inside the world of Professional Cycling, what it’s like  to recover, what it’s like getting on the bike each day for the arduous grand tour. Jonny was a lead out man for the team’s Sprinter and at one point he finished 6th on Stage 4 of the 2012 Tour de France. Jonny shares the memories of his top 3 races and why they were special to him. Covers the normal performance round and opens up as he relates to a recent health scare and also his brothers passing.

As this episode goes live Jonny will be competing on the Gold Coast  wearing the green and gold doing his very best at the World Championships.

By way of introduction, Dr Brukner is an OAM Order of Australia Medallist and he’s a world renowned Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician and Researcher. Up until recently Dr. Brukner was the team Doctor for the Australian Cricket Team, a position that he held for 5 years.  Dr. Brukner held similar positions at the Liverpool Football Club and Melbourne and Collingwood AFL Clubs and the Australian Soccer Team and was also a Sports Doctor across multiple National Olympic Commonwealth Games Athletics Teams.

Dr. Brukner is a Professor of Sports Medicine at Latrobe University, he is also the author of numerous books including Clinical Sports Medicine and Food for Sport.

Dr. Peter Brukner is also the author of the recently released A fat lot of Good – how the experts got food and diet so wrong and how you can take back control of your health.  The information inside this book will really have an impact on your physical performance and your health.  A fat lot of good is an exploration into our current food guidelines and how Dr Brukner believes we got it so wrong.  He shares how he changed to a low carbohydrate, High Fat consumption and he shares why he made this change and how it can improve your health.  Dr Brukner is spending and devoting the remainder of his career on his campaign called Sugar by Half that is aiming to reduce added sugars by 50% to better our health.
